M.L. King´s Quotations

The question is not whether we will be extremist but what kind of extremist will we be.

We are not makers of history. We are made by history.

We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

If you will protest courageously, and yet with dignity and Christian love, when the history books are written in future generations, the historians will have to pause and say, "There lived a great people—a black people—who injected new meaning and dignity into the veins of civilization."

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

I decided early to give my life to something eternal and absolute. Not to these little gods that are here today and gone tomorrow, but to God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Discrimination is a hellhound that gnaws at Negroes in every waking moment of their lives to remind them that the lie of their inferiority is accepted as truth in the society dominating them.

I just want to do God's will. And he’s allowed me to go to the mountain. And I've looked over, and I've seen the promised land! I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land.

I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.

The sweltering summer of the Negro’s legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality.

Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see.

A riot is the language of the unheard.

From the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire, let freedom ring. From the mighty mountains of New York, let freedom ring. From the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania, let freedom ring. But not only that: Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi.

Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will.

If physical death is the price that I must pay to free my white brothers and sisters from a permanent death of the spirit, then nothing can be more redemptive.

Paulo Coelho-Quotations

The book that makes the world dream. When you want something, the whole Universe conspires to help you realize your dream....

When I wrote The Alchemist, I was trying to understand the reason for the existence of life. Instead of writing a philosophical treatise, I decided to converse with the child inside my soul.To my surprise, this child was living inside millions of people around the world. With this book I wanted to share with my readers the questions which, precisely because they don't have an answer, make life a great adventure   told  PAULO COELHO

It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.

Never stop dreaming.

Not everyone can see his dreams come true in the same way.

Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.

The world's greatest lie: At a certain point in out lives we lose control of what's happening to us and our lives become controlled by fate.

When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

Intuition is really a sudden immersion of the soul into the universal current of life, where the histories of all people are connected, and we are able to know everything because it's all written there.

If you can concentrate on the present, you'll be a happy man…the secret is here in the present. If you pay attention to the present, you can improve upon it. And if you improve on the present, what comes later will also be better…Each day, in itself, brings with it an eternity.

Everything has been written by the same hand.

All things are one.

Courage is the quality most essential to understanding the language of the world.

Everyone on earth has a treasure that awaits him.

Wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.

You've got to find the treasure, so that everything you have learned along the way can make sense.

There is only one way to learn. It's through action.

Listen to your heart. It knows all things, because it came from the Soul of the World and it will one day return there.

This natural world is only an image and a copy of paradise.

The existence of this world is simply a guarantee that there exists a world that is perfect.

No heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity.

Most people see the world as a threatening place, and because they do, the world turns out indeed to be a threatening place.

When you possess great treasures within you, and try to tell others of them, seldom are you believed.

No one fails to suffer the consequences of everything under the sun.

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.

When we love, we always strive to become better than we are.

When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.

Without love, dreams would have no meaning.

Love is the pure language of the world...A language without words…the one true language of the universe. It requires no explanation, just as the universe needs none as it travels through endless time.

Love is the force that transforms and improves the soul of the world.

The boy reached through to the Soul of the World and saw that it was a part of the Soul of God. And he saw that the Soul of God was his own soul. And that he, a boy, could perform miracles.

No matter what he does, every person on earth plays a central role in the history of the world. And normally he doesn't know it.

A philosophy of life: I'm an adventurer, looking for treasure.

Love and Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived:
Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love.
One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink,
so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,
"Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat.
There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel.
"Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy
that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you."
It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed,
Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going.
When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way.
Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered,
"Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

Láska a čas

Každý z pocitov si teda urobil vlastnú loď a odplávali z ostrova.Všetci okrem Lásky.

Spýtala sa ho: “Bohatstvo, môžeš ma vziať so sebou?”
“Nie, nemôžem. Mám na svojej lodi veľa zlata a striebra. Tu pre teba nie je miesto.”

Tak sa láska spýtala  Pýchy, ktorá sa plavila okolo  na prenádhernej lodi:
“Pýcha, môžeš ma vziať so sebou?” “Nie, ja ťa, láska, nemôžem vziať.” odpovedala Pýcha, “tu je všetko príliš perfektné. Mohla by si poškodiť moju loď.”

Heaven and Hell

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like."

The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell."
They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew, which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The holy man said, "I don't understand."

It is simple," said the Lord. "It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves."

I thought it was interesting and worth blogging as we all sometimes need reminding that we are not the centre of the universe , not even our own because we would surely starve to death ..

with love peace joy and lightI send you blessings... .

NEBO A PEKLO

Svätec mal jedného dňa s Bohom rozhovor a povedal: " Bože rád by som dozvedel čo sú to Nebo a Peklo" .

Boh priviedol Svätca k dvom dverám. Otvoril jedné dvere a Svätec do nich nahliadol.

Potom išli k vedľajšiej miestností a otvorili dvere.

Lásku, pokoj, radosť a požehnanie Vám posielám...

Gretings for my friends.....

A Rose For My Friends

I got a dozen roses,
From a friend the other day;
But I only have 1 left,
For I gave them all away.

I gave one to my sister,
Who to me is very dear,
In hopes that it will bring to her
A little floral cheer.

I took one to a friend
Who's not feeling very well;
The flower or the visit -
Which helped more I could not tell.

One went to a friend
I haven't known for very long.
She struggles, so in some small way
I hope this helps her carry on.

The rest went to the ones
Who've helped me in so many ways;
They have been a cheerful presence
On my very dreary days.

The roses were so pretty
I just could not keep them all,
Except one single bud standing
Beautiful and tall.

My friend gave me the flowers
To help brighten up my day,
But the biggest joy I received
Was in giving them away.

This one is for you.

Ruže pre mojích priateľov

Dostal som tucet ruží,
od priateľa v jeden deň;
len  jednu smel som si nechať,
tak rozdal som ich všetké preč...

Dal som jednu mojej sestre,
ktorá ku mne veľmi milá je,
v nádeji, že prinesie jej
trocha kvetinovej nálady.

Jednu priateľovi som dal ,
čo necíti sa  dobré dosť;
Kvet či návšteva -
potešili ho viac ako viem vypovedať.

Jedna išla k mojej priateľke,
ktorú nevidel som už mnoho liet.
  Čo prebíja sa ťažkým životom,
dúfam že pomôže jej pokračovať.

Ostatné som dal iným známym
čo pomohli mi toľkokrát.
Radostným osviežením oni boli
v mojích  pochmúrných, ťažkých  dňoch.

Tie ruže boli tak krásne
Nemohol som si ich všetké ponechať,
Ostal mi len jeden púpeň
nádherný, dlhý, vzpriamený.

Môj priateľ daroval mi kvety
tak rozjasniť chcel môj deň,
omnoho väčšiu radosť  zažil som
súc ´darovať ich ďalším priateľom...

tá jedná je tu pre teba....

Say what you feel ... Povedz čo cítiš....

Gabriel Gárcia Márquez
Nobel literature laureate Gabriel Garcia Marquez,  Colombian author of international best sellers "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and "Love in the Time of Cholera"  says and wrote being diagnosed with lymphatic cancer  this words.....

If, for an instance, God should forget
that I am nothing but a puppet
made of cloth and should grant me
the gift of a piece of life,
I would probably not say all that I think
But think of all that I would say.
I would value things, not for their value,
but for their significance.
I would sleep very little and dream more,
With the awareness that every minute
we keep our eyes closed
We lose sixty seconds of light.
I would go forward
when others want to hold back,
I would wake when others sleep.
I would listen when others talk
And with how much joy
I would taste a good chocolate ice cream.
If God gave me a piece of life
I would dress in simple clothes and, first of all,
I would launch myself in front of the sun,
Presenting not only my naked body but also my soul.
My God, if I had a heart,
I would write my hate onto a piece of ice
And wait for the sun to appear.
I would paint onto the stars
A poem by Benedetti along with a dream by Van Gogh
And a song by Serrat.
The serenade that I would offer to the moon.
I would sprinkle roses with my tears
To breathe in the pain of their thorns
And the red of kisses of their petals.
My God, if I had a piece of life,
I would not allow one day to pass
Without telling a beloved person that I love them.
I would tell every man and every woman
That they were my favourites
And I would live a life in love with love.
I would proof to people how wrong they are
When they stop falling in love
Fearing that they were getting older
Not knowing that they are getting older
When they stop falling in love !
I would give wings to a little child
But allow them to learn to fly by themselves.
I would teach old folks
That death does not arrive at old age
But through forgetfulness.
I have learned so much through you, people…
I have learned that everybody wants to live
On top of the mountain,
Not knowing that true happiness lies within
How this mountain has been climbed.
I have learned that when a newborn
Squeezes his dad’s finger for the first time in his little fist,
He has captured him for eternity.
I have learned that a man has the right
To look down from up high onto another man
Only to assist him to get back onto his own feet.
From you I have learned so many things,
But the truth is that they won’t be much use to me
Because when they put me into that suitcase
It will unfortunately be to die.
Always say what you feel
And do what you think.
If I knew that today was the last time
That I could watch you falling asleep
I would hug you and
Pray to God to allow me to be the
Guardian of your soul.
If I knew that today was the last time
That I saw you walking through that door
I would hug you, kiss you and call upon you
To do so even more.
If I knew that today was the last time
That I could hear your voice
I would register every single word
In order to hear them over and over again.
If I knew that these were the last minutes
That I’d see you
I would say “I love you”
And would not feel to overwhelm you one bit
By the fact that you already know.
There is always a tomorrow
And life gives us another possibility
To do things right.
But if I got this wrong and today was all there is left,
I would take delight in telling you
How much I love you
That I will never forget you.
Tomorrow cannot be insured by anybody,
Young or old.
Today can be your last time
To see somebody you love.
Therefore, don’t wait for more.
Do it today.
Because if tomorrow wasn’t going to arrive
You would surely regret the day where you did not
Have time for a smile, a hug, a kiss
And that you were too busy to fulfill a last wish.
Hold who you love close to you,
Tell them how much you need them,
Love them and treat them well
Find the time to tell them “I’m sorry”,
“forgive me”, “please”, “thank you”
and all the words of love that you know.
No one will remember your secret thoughts.
Ask the Lord to give you strength
And wisdom to express them.
Show your friends and beloved ones
That they are important.
Send this to who ever you want.
If you don’t do it today,
Tomorrow will be the same as yesterday.
And if you won’t ever do it, it won’t matter.
The moment is now

For you, With much love,
Your Friend,
Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Povedz čo cítiš....

Pokiaľ by Boh na chvíľu zabudol,
že som len bábkou a daroval mi ešte odrobinku života,
využil by som ten čas najlepšie ako len dokážem.
Pravdepodobne by som nepovedal všetko,
nad čím premýšľam,
ale určite by som si premyslel všetko, čo poviem.
Hodnotil by som veci nie podľa ceny, ale podľa významu.
Spal by som málo a sníval viac, pretože viem,
že každú minútu so zatvorenými očami
Dieťaťu by som pripravil krídla,
ale dal by som mu ich, až keď sa naučí lietať.
Ľuďom vo vyššom veku by som pripomenul,
že smrť neprichádza so starobou,
ale so zabudnutím, či opustenosťou.
pretože vo chvíli, keď ma vložia do truhly,
nebudem už nažive.
Hovor vždy,
čo cítiš a rob,
v ktorých ťa vidím, povedal by som: milujem ťa.
čo mi ostáva, chcel by som Ti povedať
Ďakujem...a všetky tie láskavé slová,
 ktoré poznáš.
Nikto si ťa nebude pamätať za Tvoje utajené myšlienky,
preto pros Pána o silu a múdrosť,
aby si ich mohol vypovedať.
Dokáž svojim priateľom a blízkym, ako veľmi ich potrebuješ.
Tieto slová adresuj, komu len chceš.
Pokiaľ to neurobíš dnes,
ráno bude také ako to včerajšie.

Pre vás s láskou
Váš priateľ

Slovakian castles, château, mansion houses

Slovakia is one of the countries with the greatest number of castles, château and mansion houses in all whole Europe. In Fact there are 425 mansion houses, 180 castles and château that include also some ruins. The castles in Slovakia testify the colonizations that happened in the country during the centuries.
It is difficult find differences between castle and chateaux in Slovakia. We can say that castles were built in strategic and generally little accessible places with defensive functions against the attacks of the enemies. The château instead were constructions that lost their defensive functions and during ceturies were modify becoming refined and rappresentative residences. Mansion houses finally are noble constructions, generally built in flat zones and surrounded by large parks or large gardens.

Hrady-Kaštiele a zámky na Slovensku:
Slovensko patrí medzi krajiny s najväčším počtom hradov a zámkov v Európe.

My flowers

I hide myself within my flower,
That wearing on your breast,
You, unsuspecting, wear me too --
And angels know the rest.

I hide myself within my flower,
That, fading from your vase,
You, unsuspecting, feel for me
Almost a loneliness.
