Happy and Peaceful New Year!-Šťastný a pokojný Nový rok!

When the last day of the Year
draws near and reaches the hand,
to what the most you reminiscent?
On the last,the foregone days
which went away so quickly,
what  gained in ,
what  neglected, what lost?
With the thanks and respect in heart
curtsied head in front of the Old one,
who with dignity approaches
to the end of his way,
to hand to the truncheon
into the hand of New Year.
Dubiously, hesitantly
you take to yourself question:
What will be this New year?
Will bring tranquility,
Love and Peace on the World?

Only on you belong
what is now, in the future will be.
What you will give ,
the Life will you return.
Love, Peace and Pleasure
if you  will plant all around,
your field with love to care,
you may be sure the Life hundred times
give you all back...

The Love and Pleace,
the Health, Happiness and Joy of an abundance...

Happy and Peaceful New Year!

Šťastný a pokojný Nový rok!

Keď posledný deň v roku
na dosah sa priblíží
na čo si najviac spomenieš?
na minulé, ušlé dní
čo ubehli  rýchlejšie
než pripustil by si chcel ...
Čo docielil si v nich,
 čo stratil,zanedbal ?
S vďakou a bázňou v srdci
ukloníš hlavu starcovi,
ktorý dôstojne sa blíži
ku koncu svojej cesty,
by žezlo svoje odovzdal
do rúk roku Nového .
Váhavo , neisto
otázku si kladieš:
Aký bude tento Nový rok?
Donesie nám pokoj,
lásku a mier na zemi?

Len na tebe to záleží
aký je, v budúcností bude.
To čo doňho vložíš,
to stokrát vráti sa ti späť...
Lásku, pokoj, radosť,
vôkol seba ak budeš osievať,
a políčko svoje s láskou obrábať,
život nadelí ti lásky, radostí,
zdravia, šťastia a pohody
plným priehrštím.

Šťastný a pokojný Nový rok!

The Spis Casl

One summer day this year did my grandson Maroško, his second cousin Kika and his parents a small trip on the Spis casl...and you for sure will agree that it was great trip.....

It is one of the largest medieval castle in the Central Europe. It had been mentioned by the 12th century as a regional castle. The main body of the castle was surrounded by a stone fortification in the first half of the 13th century. This enabled the castle to resist the raids of the Tatars in 1241. In the same century the fortifications was mainly strengthened by the Italian stonecutters who worked to the construction of the Spisska Kapitula. Of the 13th century it is a Romanesque palace, the gothic dwelling tower and a now non-existent Romanesque chapel.
These monuments are situateted in the higher courtyard. During the reign of Ludovit (the son of Charles Robert of Anjou) the castle was extended by the addition of the central coutryard with an entry gate and barbican in the 14th century. In the half of the 15th century the lower courtyard was built Its construction is cenected with the army of Ján Jiskra of Brandýs, that it was called after the dead of the king Zigmund (in 1437) in order to protect the new Hungarian king still underage Ladislav Pohrobok (1445-1457).
The Spis castle is belonged to many owners. In 1464 it was property of the Zapolsky family, in the first rt of the 16th century of the Thurzo family and the last proprietor after 1636 was the Csaky family until 1945. During a fire in 1780 the castle suffered extensive damage and was not reconstructed afterwards. From 1970 in the castle imposing jobs of restoration are carried out. In the restored part of the castle is situated the exposure of the history of the Spis castle and in the underground prison the torture instruments.

In 1993 the Spis castle together with the surroundings (Spisske Podhradie, Spisska Kapitula, the church in Žehra) was enlisted into UNESCO World Heritage List.

Obama's Rejection Speech | Let's Try Democracy

http://www.davidswanson.org/node/2346
That was not a peace prize acceptance speech. That was an infomercial for war. President Obama took the peace prize home with him, but left behind in Oslo his praise for war, his claims for war, and his view of an alternative and more peaceful approach to the world consisting of murderous economic sanctions.

Some highlights:

"There are the men and women around the world who have been jailed and beaten in the pursuit of justice; those who toil in humanitarian organizations to relieve suffering; the unrecognized millions whose quiet acts of courage and compassion inspire even the most hardened of cynics. I cannot argue with those who find these men and women — some known, some obscure to all but those they help — to be far more deserving of this honor than I."

Yet, you did argue. You argued by accepting the prize … and then making a false case for war:

"War, in one form or another, appeared with the first man. At the dawn of history, its morality was not questioned; it was simply a fact, like drought or disease — the manner in which tribes and then civilizations sought power and settled their differences."

This is simply not true of all tribes and civilizations, unless we include war making as a criterion for being considered civilized.

"The concept of a 'just war' emerged, suggesting that war is justified only when it meets certain preconditions: if it is waged as a last resort or in self-defense; if the forced used is proportional; and if, whenever possible, civilians are spared from violence."

How dare someone responsible for illegal occupations and air strikes and the use of unmanned drones say these words? (Responsible, that is, given the failure of Congress and of we the people to stop him.)

"America led the world in constructing an architecture to keep the peace: a Marshall Plan and a United Nations, mechanisms to govern the waging of war, treaties to protect human rights, prevent genocide and restrict the most dangerous weapons."

How dare a president refusing to support a treaty on land mines speak in these terms? Are we supposed to not see the actions and just hear the words?

"I make this statement mindful of what Martin Luther King said in this same ceremony years ago: 'Violence never brings permanent peace. It solves no social problem: It merely creates new and more complicated ones.'"

Very wise. Very true. And completely violated by Barack Obama's actions and the better part of the words in this speech. Are we supposed to hear these words in a different part of our brains from the rest of the speech and its advocacy of war?

"A nonviolent movement could not have halted Hitler's armies. Negotiations cannot convince al-Qaidas leaders to lay down their arms."

Now a group of fewer than 100 angry people in Afghanistan, and their allies elsewhere, are the rough equivalent of "Hitler's armies" and justify the brutal occupation of a nation by tens and hundreds of thousands of soldiers and mercenaries, tanks and planes, and unmanned drones? And negotiations, with the Taliban or anyone else, are not possible because … because … well, because of that rhetoric about Hitler's armies.

WE ARE THE WORLD

Lyrics:

There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And its time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
We cant go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change

We are all part of gods great big family
And the truth, you know, love is all we need

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a better day
Just you and me
Send them your heart
So theyll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stones to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a better day
Just you and me
When youre down and out, there seems no hope at all
But if you just believe theres no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well let us realize that a change can only come
When we stand together as one

Chorus:
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a better day
Just you and me

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a better day
Just you and me

Chorus
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives

Its true well make a better day
Just you and me
Alright let me hear ya

Chorus
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a brighter day
Just you and me
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a better day
Just you and me

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a better day
Just you and me

Chorus
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Theres a choice were making
Were saving our own lives
Its true well make a better day
Just you and me

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving

Life in the love - Robert Browning

Escape me?

Never---
Beloved!
While I am I, and you are you,
So long as the world contains us both,
Me the loving and you the loth
While the one eludes, must the other pursue.
My life is a fault at last, I fear:
It seems too much like a fate, indeed!
Though I do my best I shall scarce succeed.
But what if I fail of my purpose here?
It is but to keep the nerves at strain,
To dry one's eyes and laugh at a fall,
And, baffled, get up and begin again,---
So the chace takes up one's life ' that's all.
While, look but once from your farthest bound
At me so deep in the dust and dark,
No sooner the old hope goes to ground
Than a new one, straight to the self-same mark,
I shape me---
Ever
Removed!

written by Robert Browning
(1812-1889  London- England)

Život v láske

Unikáš mi?
Nikdy- - -
Milovaná!
Pokiaľ ja som ja  a ty si ty,
tak dlho ako na svete sme obaja,
ja milujúci a ty váhavá.
by držal som  nervy napäté,
osušiť čiesi oči , pri páde zasmiať sa,
bezradný vstať a znova začať, - - -
potom
odídem!

The words

What connects us
with surroundings
are  words,
what chills and warms
are words,
what makes delight
or makes  sorrow

are words.
The words in the depth
throws down,
settles up on a throne.
The words a shine brings
into the gloomy day .
The words hardly
can smite ,
The words can
gently care...With tears of pain
fulfills eyes,
the tears of joy
in eyes brings..
Therefore, let´s value
the words more,
that day by day
so easy into the air
blithely drop ...The less is
mostly more,
simpleness more is
as the flood
of embellished words...

Miss you, I really miss - Hasmukh Amathalal

First  poem I opened and read  on site of Hasmukh Amathalal read all  on one breath!  Oh!... as I would be glad if the only one
of  "I miss you..." sigh I ever got,  had even a tiny-tiny short part
of  sigh of this poem.... :) I had no chance on poetic soul..... :(

Miss, you can’t be so rude,
For a word you nave made prelude,
All warmth and affection you include,
Hate and distance you always exclude,

I never expect you to cast,
All doubts but trust not last,
you were the first to realize it fast
Reality known but never wore mast,

Your innocence and name infused,
Kind words but you never confused,
Time for decision but you never refused
Always at right point and crisis defused,

Even amidst delicate moments,
Not a word or offered comments,
Hurt you most but you used simple word,
Is it blessings or gift
from Lord?

Loved you most as your dearest friend,
Still you didn't’t put any word to end,
Kept me at dark but did not ask for excuse
Used it as pretext but not denied or refuse

'Miss' I miss you but you don’t miss,
Not expected kind hug or simple kiss
Not even kind gesture or more to show,
Still I miss as you never beat brow,

Will this uncertainty remain or go?
Life full of remorse but still forgo,
Is there any restriction from your side or embargo?
You bear always “no entry” logo,

You called on me for good luck and best wishes
I remained dead as no water for fish,
May be it is very hard for some reasons
Why then draught without any season?

I was quick to grasp situation,
Avoided unwarranted efforts for persuasion,
Shock was sudden and heavy but came very late,
I did accept it with grace as part of fate

Poetry's written by my dear friend Chris Smith- welsh-poet...I hope you will like them so much as I do :)

I Only Have Words

I look out on this world, yonder

And my mind begins to ponder

Thinking about all of the hate

Of why do we face such cruel fate

Of the dangers and the obsession

Sinking deeper into our depression

Is there any love left there outside?

Must hope always have to hide?

We see only what we want to see

Blind eyes always look away from misery

We turn our backs on women and children battered

Always acting like it never really mattered

Make judgement on violence on the streets

Some turn to that crime, to make ends meet

I hold my hands to my head in despair

Wondering, at times, does God care?

And after all we have to go through

I only have words to give to you

Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Complain About Our Pets

1. They live here. You don't.

2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)

3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.

4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy and walks on all fours. Although they doesn't speak clearly, they communicate extremely well, especially cats.

5. Dogs and cats are better than kids ...they eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called (this does not apply to cats), never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about having to buy the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, and don't need a gazillion dollars for college. Also, if they get pregnant, you can sell the children!!!

Time

In our mind all the times
steady fixed picture
we hold:
"The Time passes ...
have changing the times..."
It's the sure impression
whether misleading it is?
It Alpha and Omega is,
it steering compass,
of our knowledge and dreaming is.

Does the time pass
really?
Whether only we still
are running towards him.
Into eternal time we run,
the TRUTH are we seeking in...
Into its well we are sinking,
to could the wisdom of it
to drink ...

Time do not change!
Remains the same.
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow,
even after thousand years...
Only its forms is changing.
The source of knowledge it is always,
there had lost nothing of it,
forever keeps all his wisdom.
The Time always the same,
eternal time is here!
